In 1999, Tomlin rose to recognition joined on board as a worship leader for Atlanta pastor Louie Giglio’s annual Passion Conferences, along with other worship leaders such as Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, and eventually with Christy Nockels, Kristian Stanfill, and the David Crowder Band (now Crowder). Tomlin was soon signed to Sparrow Records and EMI's sixstepsrecords where he began releasing his worship albums.

I was in the front row worshiping at this event. So healing to have Chris lead me as I have been led by him for so many years and he was my inspiration. I will be forever blessed by this time of worship and I found fresh strength to press deeper into my walk with God and my craft as a worship leader. Thank you God and thank you Chris!

Please God I beg in the name of Jesus to fill him with the holy Spirit, anoint him with your oil, cover him with your blood, cover him in your armour, soften his heart, save him please 🙏💖 before I lose him.
