Absolutely comedy gold, when I first saw this I thought I was going to hurt myself, the funniest thing I have ever seen before or since. The way Julian was treated afterwards was a disgrace, only now being allowed back on to mainstream tv
Julian is one of the most underrated comedians ever. Nobody else can do deadpan camp like him
This was brilliantly funny, and the negative impact on Julian that was allowed to happen after should be a shame on the whole of the TV media establishment at that time.
One of my go-to clips to raise a smile, however grumpy I feel. Martin Clunes' face is an absolute delight.
Julian really did not give a fuck when he delivered this speech and that is bloody brilliant in my book! I think Martin Clunes and Mark Lamar's reaction says it all!
