I remember in my late teens sitting in a stolen car with two of my childhood friends, in a car park taking heroin… this song came on the radio and we all paused in a moment of life evaluation… for those 2 minutes we shared this song and a magical moment. my two friends are no longer here… yet my life has ended up really good, great job, home, and a family that love me… I’m 40 years old on Sunday, I consider myself very lucky!
my dad loved david gray. i forgot he existed until i was sitting in the car waiting to go in the funeral home for my dads service and heard this song. i used to tell dad he was a flamer or a chick listening to these songs and here i am at 28 years old. crying listening to my dads old music. i miss you man. so much. Kelly Scott Bush September 17, 1968-February 17, 2024 you’re my hero old man. your legacy lives on 💙
Sweet freaking jesus, I've literally been looking for this song for about a decade or so. I heard it in a safeway grocery store and misinterpreted the lyrics and eventually figured I'd never find out. You have no idea how nice it is to find the title to the song that's been playing on my head for ten years.
I wish I could go back to the happy days of 1999. I was 29, my mum was still alive and so was my brother. I was newly married and I had my health. Best days. Keep safe everybody. David Gray rocks! A song that speaks to the soul! xxx
Who’s still listening in 2026?😍❤️
