CanadaColombian-Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez from Toronto whose unique take on pop music, accented with R&B and hip-hop influences, is reinforced by a raw vocal style that merges the deeply passionate with the stylishly theatrical. Reyez started singing at a young age. Inspired by her father's talent for playing acoustic guitar, and singing Colombian boleros, Jessie was destined to be a creative herself. It came naturally to Jessie, as she began writing lyrics and adopting her father's talents for the guitar.

This song is so relatively for us woman who chose ourselves over being a doormat to a narcissistic partner
When someone asks me why I CHOOSE to be SINGLE my response is "Because it CUDN'T BE ME!!"
To the settled woman/ women I hope we have the strength to walk away, let go and love ourselves
I know this is y’all ladies anthem, but as a guy I feel this too! Seeing these guys out here unhappy in their marriage or relationship, sneaking around doing dirt, trying to put on a front of a happy home knowing it’s all BS…CULDNT B ME!!
