When I was a little girl, my parents blasted this song so loud on the stereo, the glass windows would shake. I heard this album endlessly. I thought Michael Bolton was silly, and my parents loved him. They would cook dinner in the kitchen together, singing and drinking wine. My dad has been gone almost 5 years, and when I hear this song, it makes me feel a bittersweet joy. He loved my mom so much, and I bet he felt the same as the lyrics sung. Here's to you mom and dad, and thank you Michael Bolton for being the soundtrack to precious memories. 2025: So grateful to all the heartfelt responses!
