PortugalThe Teskey Brothers is an Australian soul blues band formed in 2008. The band came to be from seeking blues and roots of the greats from an early age when exposed to musicians such as Peter Green, Otis Redding and Ray Charles. The boys would watch closely in awe as their teacher, Sam Linton Smith, performed at St. Andrews pub on a Sunday, the very same St. Andrews in which Josh and Sam Teskey set up to busk as boys. Thus began the musical convergence of Warrandyte Blues-Soul and everything in between.

*Lyrics* Is that rain? Or are you crying again? Would it be the same if I could Hold you my friend? And know it’s hard to be alone A soul with no face is a lonely embrace I know it’s hard I know it’s hard to be alone Now there’s clouds Between us all And the road ain’t so clear But we still walk or crawl I know it’s hard to be alone A soul with no face is a lonely embrace I know it’s hard I know it’s hard to be alone Oh so little Come to me now I wanna hold you In any way I know how We’re flying now with the powerful owl I’m gonna hold you In any way I know how Is that rain? Or am I crying again? A soul with no face is a lonely embrace I know it’s hard I know it’s hard But you ain’t gonna be alone
I feel like COLORS deserves an Emmy nomination. No one else is exposing young people, or just people in general, to this level of raw, eclectic artistry. Media outlets are so set on making sure certain people only hear certain music. No wonder everyone is stuck in a spiritual rut. Music is spiritual.
This man sounds like he swallowed a cold windy storm.
That aint just singing folks...thats the sound of his soul coming out. 😎
He's bringing tears to my eyes with that voice. He's making Otis proud. Thank you for giving us Otis back. So so Beautiful.
