Her face, her hair, her makeup, the storyline, the editing, honestly a perfect music video
The fact she makes herself the villain in her own music video, iconic
Somehow, I’d managed to get through my life without hearing this song, until I saw “Saltburn“ yesterday. At first I thought it was some 70s disco song I’d never heard. Now, I can’t stop listening to it. Absolutely brilliant track.
My dad loved this so we played it at his funeral with a compilation of photos. He always said he loved Sophies voice. Wish he was still here, and my brother. Been remembering all the good times, which for me is the 70s when we were a family of 4 living at Handsworth in Sheffield. Wish I could go back for just one day. Sadly lost my brother and my dad. I messaged Sophie Ellis Bextor on Instagram after my dad's funeral saying we had used her song as he loved her voice and she messaged me back, sent such lovely words. ❤
I love that this classic is resurfacing thanks to Saltburn and specifically Barry Keoghan's dance scene
