I think we are all here today for the same reason. Such a terrible loss. Thank you for the music, Glen Hansard.
I cried when I first heard this song. I cried when they won the Oscar. I am crying again today. RIP Glen Hansard.😭
My son was born today. The world has become a better and a worse place at the same time. Miss you Glen ❤
Listening to your music from Iran. Thank you, Glen, for leaving us songs full of honesty and beautiful emotions. Your music crossed borders and connected people. Rest in peace.♥
It was 2008, I was only 19, and had just lost my fiancé tragically. I was on the flight to his home state for the service, completely devastated, when this song came over the speakers on the Delta flight I was sitting on, as people continued to board. I remember this tune brought me out of the disassociated state I was in, and as I began to listen… goodness… this song will forever stick with me. I didn’t realize who the artist was until now, and it just brought back everything like a tsunami. Grief can be so insidious. My heart goes out to the family & friends of this artist, I have a lot of thanks to give for this song… it helped guide me through a dark time, and although I didn’t realize it then, I do now ❤
