How it feels to find a gold scar:

- Finished 4 years at University doing a degree I realised in the final year I had no interest in. - 4 part time jobs in hospitality I had no interest in - No path in life - Realised I wanted to become a pilot, from the START was my ambition but thought it wasn't feasible financially/personally - Accepted into one of the top Airline pilot Flight schools after months of research/revision and assessment - Drug habit picked up at Uni meant my Class 1 medical (required to start flight school) was denied and postponed for 2 years resulting in not being able to take my place earned through hard work and determination. When I got that letter denying me, from the one career I had finally realised I wished to purse and KNEW would be the career that would make me happy, my world collapsed and this song. These lyrics "ALL TIME LOW" defined my world at that time. It honestly felt like it was all over, everything I had worked for, destroyed through a stupid, selfish choice. I was ready to give up. 2 years later I'm at the flight school I dreamt of, clean, Iv achieved over 98% average grades in my pilot ground school theory, and 3 months away from finishing with a full ATPL (airline transport pilots license) license. I listen to this song once in a while to remind me of that day everything came crashing down and to realise how far iv come. If you ever get into a situation where you believe youv hit the lowest of the low, you cant go any lower so keep pushing, keep going and things can only get better.

Yesterday was Valentine's day. For anyone that scrolled far enough to see this, she rejected me yesterday. Can relate to this song now, for as cheesy as it sounds.
