MexicoJamiroquai are an English acid jazz and funk band formed in London in 1992. The group is led by vocalist Jay Kay, who has remained the sole consistent member throughout multiple lineup changes. They initially became associated with the London acid jazz movement of the early 1990s and later incorporated influences from rock, disco, electronic music, and Latin styles. Their lyrics have frequently focused on social and environmental themes. Jamiroquai first recorded under Acid Jazz Records before signing with Sony

Emergency on Planet Earth is such a killer album from start to finish.
Saddest thing about this.. 25 years on... nothing has changed. Apparently we're never gonna learn.
This is when Jamiroquai was the most powerful. Not a brand, not a company, a bunch of youth speaking up about issues they believe should be spoken about. Seasoned by the everlasting new wave that only JK knows how to make! Brilliant.
This song was SO ahead of its time, it must have hurt JK that it didn't have the commercial success it should have done.
