ItalyLynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1964. The group originally formed under the name My Backyard and included Ronnie Van Zant (vocals), Gary Rossington (guitar), Allen Collins (guitar), Larry Junstrom (bass), and Bob Burns (drums). Over the next several years, the band performed under various names and underwent multiple lineup changes while touring small venues. In 1968, they adopted the name Lynyrd Skynyrd, later becoming associated with the Southern rock genre.

Being "simple" is not to be confused with being empty, or not complex. It means to bring yourself down to earth. Life is messy and hard as hell, but keep calmness within yourself, don't get too stressed, don't get overwhelmed. Keep it simple. Let yourself be relaxed.
People won't shut up about Freebird, but to me, this is Skynyrd's best song right here.
"Forget your lust for the rich man's gold, all that you need is in your soul" Wise words.
After the military, college, career, family and now retirement, here I am trying to figure out the next phase. I picked up a bike again and sometimes I just hit the road. No phone, no friends, no nothing except my dog, bike, camping gear and some tunes. At 56 I'm rediscovering the simplicity in life, ie; being a "Simple Man". I've let my hair and beard grow out so much that I look homeless now. I can't even drink coffee in public without someone wanting to drop some change in my cup. 🤣😂 It's a short ride folks. I remember turning 30 last month. Keep an eye on the destination, but enjoy the ride. It goes by pretty quick. Blink and you'll miss it I'm remembering that I'm American by birth and Southern by the grace of God. Folks, be proud of where you are from and who you are, no matter where you are. Thank you, boys. Thank you. Y'all be well...
My daddy taught me this song 35 years ago. Even though he's gone now, I can still feel him holding me tightly in this song. Love ya Dad, miss you terribly.
