CanadaDef Leppard are an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 1977. Since 1992, the band has consisted of Rick Savage (bass, backing vocals), Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Rick Allen (drums), Phil Collen (guitar, backing vocals), and Vivian Campbell (guitar, backing vocals). They emerged as part of the new wave of British heavy metal in the early 1980s. The band's debut album, "On Through the Night" (1980), reached the Top 15 in the UK but received little attention internationally.

I think the greatest thing about this band is not their music, but the fact that they didn't ditch their drummer after he lost an arm in a car accident. That's true friendship and loyalty.
The greatest thing about Def Leppard is that every one of them is an independently-talented musician. If Joe is having trouble, Phil can sing. I saw them in concert in 2022. They can still do it, and they still got it!
This band refused to go on without Rick! After he lost his arm they had a special drum kit made for him and said he picked it up real fast. Most loyal band out there during this decade. ❤❤
Anyone listening to this masterpiece in 2026
Wow so it's true, Rick plays the drums with one arm!! As a person with a disability get tired of people assuming what I can't do!! Go guy you have lots of ability, your an inspiration to anyone!!
