Who’s here July 2026 and let us listen to this beautiful song. Praise God!
I’ve just lost my 91 y/o husband and two days later my 63y/o son died too. So many people over the years have commented that I’m such a strong woman. I know in my own strength I’m definitely not but tonight these words had new meaning to me and I now understand where my strength lies. I have always known that but I have never felt the weakness and frailty such as I am this week and these words seemed to perfectly describe my need for the Heavenly Father’s strength raising me up.
Who's listening to this in 2026??? Anyone???
Today is Friday, the 5th of June, 2026. This was my song to my mother, one of the greatest mothers anyone could have ever wished for. Sweet, nurturing, patient, non-judgmental. All my friends and kids from the church and kids I went to school with always loved coming around my house growing up because of how warm, and accepting, and "slow to judge" she was. I have listened to this song with my mom - teary-eyed - and expressed my gratitude to her more than once, for sure. She died on the 4th of July, 2014 (talk about indelibly ruining a holiday!) when I was 35 years old. Liver cancer, for anyone wondering. Anytime I find myself in need of a good cry, I can come here and weep without shame listening to this song and remember what an incredible mother with which I was Blessed by our Heavenly Father.
Its Wednesday morning, October 3, 2018 and I am a 30 year old man in the military getting ready to marry the love of my life and she has asked me to look for a song for me and my mother to dance to. Here I am at 7:15 a.m. after my shift sobbing listening to this song thinking of all the things she has done for me. THIS is the beauty of music. Josh Groban, thank you sir.
